Alaina Matthews ’25

Hi! I’m Alaina Matthews, and I study both English & History at Dal! I’m from a small town in southern Ontario, so moving to a city was a pretty big deal for me. Despite the challenges of shifting from town life to city life, I couldn’t have picked a better place to do it! With its vibrant artistry, and rich culture, Halifax is the perfect place to start my life as an aspiring writer. I’m a huge bookworm and film lover, so when I’m not in school, I’m either glued to my TV or stuck in a book. I can’t wait to see what Dal has in store for me, but if these past two years have shown me anything, it's that they will be nothing but beautiful.
