You know the classics, and the classic renditions of the classics, but why not give some love to some of the underappreciated gems of the season? Here are my favourites.

It's that time of year, folks! The malls are packed full, Santas line the street shaking bells and singing their jolly ho-ho-hos, and every store you walk into plays some variation of Santa Baby. But I can’t lie, I love it all! There’s something so magical about hearing your first holiday tune of the year to remind you of all the festivities in the future. However, I feel like it's easy to get caught up in the classics. That’s not to say they’re bad—because they’re most definitely not. I just think it's time we broaden our festive ears to all the wonderful winter tunes (and underappreciated renditions of the classics) that don’t get the recognition they deserve. So, grab a cup of hot cocoa, settle into your coziest spot by the fireplace, and join me on a musical journey through my favourite underrated winter songs that deserve a spotlight this season. FYI, this includes covers!
