Every season deserves its own playlist. With the days getting shorter and the nights getting longer, these 20 songs are all about fall for me.

Listen to my entire playlist on Spotify.

1. The Lumineers, “Patience”

Feel cozy, peaceful, and inspired thanks to this soft instrumental number by one of my favourite groups.

2. Leon Bridges, “Beyond”

Leon Bridges has a smooth voice that will literally make you fall in love. Just me? OK then, awesome!

3. Daniel Caesar ft. H.E.R., “Best Part”

You know how us Dalhousie students love our Daniel Caesar! This one always has me feeling some chill ~vibes~.

4. Kevin Abstract, “Peach”

This was a summer song for me, but I just love it so much that I’m going to take it with me into the fall.

5. Noname ft. Xavier Omar, “All I Need”

Throwing a little more girl power into the playlist! Noname’s style and tone give a warm, comfy—perfect for fall.

6. Mac Miller, “Small Worlds”

The first time I heard this song, I was taking my Driver Dave’s to the airport and watching the scenery whip past me. “Small Worlds” also hits close to home because I’m a big fan of the late rapper. Moment of silence please... OK, continue.

7. Tomppabeats, “Monday Loop”

This is a tune that was sent to me by a friend and it never fails to calm me down.

8. Cat Stevens, “Wild World”

I grew up listening to a lot of Cat Stevens, so this song gives me alllll the nostalgia.

9. Jackson C. Frank, “Blues Run the Game”

If you’re a fan of the show “This Is Us,” this song may sound familiar. If you’re not yet a fan, I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a show that will make you cry after every single episode.

10. Hozier, “From Eden”

This song never fails to put me in a good mood and I hope it does the same for you.

11. Free Nationals ft. Daniel Caesar, “Beauty & Essex”

More Daniel Caesar, but is anyone really surprised? I love this man’s voice.

12. Angus & Julia Stone, “Big Jet Plane”

For me, this is a classic coffee shop song that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

13. THEY. ft. Jessie Reyez, “Broken”

My brother showed me this song a few months ago and I instantly fell in love with it. Be prepared for this song to be stuck in your head.

14. Steve Lacy, “C U Girl”

Steve Lacy is probably my new favourite artist. My friend introduced me to his music in the summer and my life has not been the same since.

15. Sales, “Chinese New Year”

This song isn’t a super “chill” song, but I consider it a funky beat so on the playlist it goes!

16. Corrine Bailey Rae, “Like a Star”

I’m sure you guys have heard the song “Put Your Records On.” This song has the same relaxing, jazzy feel to it.

17. Chance the Rapper ft. Noname, “Lost”

I forgot how much I loved this song until Acid Rap got added on Apple Music and Spotify. If you haven’t heard this side of Chance the Rapper’s music, I definitely suggest you give this song a listen.

18. Frank Ocean, “Nights”

I couldn’t make a playlist without including a bit of Frank Ocean. Plus, this song is pretty much two songs in one. What’s not to like?

19. Hozier, “Shrike”

I was in Grade 10 when Hozier released his debut album, and I played that on repeat for probably the whole year. This year Hozier released a new album (finally!) with this song as a single and it really hit the spot.

20. Harry Styles, “Lights Up”

I currently can’t stop listening to this song. If you need another reason to love Harry Styles, watch the music video. Trust me.
