Jo Minx ’20

My name is Jo, and I'm a 3rd-year Master of Arts student in Sociology. My research interests are in the social implications of technology and artificial intelligence. Some current research I'm working on looks at students' perceptions of educational and occupational skills choices in an economy affected by disruptive technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as a project that looks at the history of how social scientists talked about artificial intelligence from its conception in the 1950s until today. I'm originally from Montreal, but I grew up in little ol’ Charlottetown. In my off-time, I enjoy reading, exercising and playing with my dog.
